Work Through Your Insecurities + fun worksheet

As artists, we all have insecurities that we need to work through in different areas of our life. When we create something, we will often hold on to it for a long time before we release it into the world because of fear of judgment, criticism and self-expression loss.

This is why I love this statement from Queen Erykah Badu, which goes like this, “I’m an artist, and I’m sensitive about my sh*t”… so many other artists and I can relate so profoundly to this statement. 

Sometimes putting out our most valuable and creative work can make us artists feel exposed. Being exposed to criticism is a challenging reality to accept, even though it’s a natural human instinct to criticize ourselves and others. But what I find to be the most damaging is the beliefs we hold from our experience that have caused us some form of pain and disappointment when we’ve shared our gifts in the past with others. This could be our family members or peer groups.

So I’m sharing this tidbit with you today to show you that you’re not the only one with insecurities and fears. We all have insecurities and fears. The only way to get beyond them and find true healing is to put on your protective emotional armour and walk through the unpleasant feelings anyway. For me, it’s sharing myself and my innermost sacred communication from the Divine and how I interpret these communications creatively with you. Whenever I hold on to these downloads, with a reluctance to let them go, I can feel Divine spirit nudging me to trust and let go, so I do, and it’s always such a beautiful blessing for everyone when I let go.

I have a fun and quick process and worksheet to share with you to help you work through challenging and unpleasant blocks. Now take a moment to sit in quiet contemplation to reflect and notice where you are in your life and where you’re currently holding yourself back because of fear. 

Once you’ve pinpointed where you’re holding yourself back, get out your journal and a pen and write it all down to release it from your energy body. When we release pent-up energy from the body, we give ourselves room to be more creatively free and open to all the magic we have access to in our Divine Universe.

Use the Fun Journal Worksheet to reflect on your experience today and release what no longer serves your highest good.


Write each answer down in your fun journal worksheet. The physical action of writing down your answers is super necessary—don’t just think about this exercise in your head––actually, actively participate and do the exercise. The exercise’s goal is to help you learn where you are stuck and see what you are holding on to no longer serve you. After you’ve answered each question, spend some time silently reflecting on each of your answers.
