What Should You Do To Prepare For A Reiki Treatment Session?
Before your Reiki treatment session, you should try to eat a light snack or light meal before you arrive. You should also drink at least one glass of water to help you stay hydrated and grounded about an hour before your session. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing to each of your sessions. The more comfortable you are, the more your Ki energy can move back into alignment and back in balance. Also, you should NOT drink any alcoholic before your treatment.
What You Should Do After A Reiki Treatment:
Directly after a session, you should allow yourself time to become fully awake and grounded again. I suggest sitting for a few minutes after your session and sipping on some cold water, then run cool water from the tap on your hands for about 2 – 3 minutes. We’ll sit for about 10 – 15 minutes after your session to allow you to share any insights, thoughts, images and/or feelings that may have come up during your healing session. This is done to make sure you have a clear understanding of what took place, along with providing you with any additional support to ensure you have a balanced well-being.
I recommend lots of rest over the next few days after your Reiki treatment. I also recommend that you drink lots of water. Your body will be releasing lots of toxins, both physical and emotional toxins so honour it and listen to what it needs. Often, you will feel improvements in your pain and emotional levels; on the same day or a few days after. Some people report that their chronic or acute pain completely disappear and that their allergies disappear or decrease.
